Save Games for The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard

WARNING: THESE SAVE GAMES ONLY WORKS IN THE 3DFX VERSION AND THUS WILL NOT WORK
IN THE SOFTWARE RENDERING VERSION.

These save games were produced in 2005 while playing the game in the 3DFX glide
wrapper Glidos v1.31 by Paul Gardiner. I also used VDMSound 2.04 + update 1. To
get the CD music to play on CD2, I installed two SAPUCDEX files (they're in the
archive) and then edited GLIDOS.INI in the Glidos installation folder. The line
with the executable was changed to:

	Executable: C:\Games\Redguard\RG.BAT

And the file was saved (modify the path if you installed the game elsewhere).
The RG.BAT file simply calls SAPUCDEX and then the executable RGFX.EXE.

You may wonder why there are so many health potions in some of the save games.
I cheated here and there by hitting 'F12' to reach the console, then typed:

	item add, 4

This gave me a health potion. I made sure I had plenty (but never more than 100
total) then hit 'H' here and there to drink one during the sword fights. I must
say there were many cool things in Redguard but the collision detection and the
keyboard handler left a lot to be desired. The Key 'Alt' often thought it was
supposed to do the same as 'Ctrl' (i.e. use), but I can't say if Glidos was to
blame for this or if Bethesda Softworks really wanted it to work that way.
